Visit Pu'uhonua O Honaunau known as the place of refuge, explore a Kona coffee farm, Hilo town and Rainbow Falls. Sample famous sweet bread and pick up a “to go” lunch at famous Punalu’u Bake Shop to be enjoyed along the way. Peer into the depths of Halemaumau Crater which remarkably changed after the recent June 2023 eruption and watch steam clouds form as ground water seeps onto hot volcanic rock at the famous Steam Vents.

Place of Refuge (Pu'uhonua O Honaunau)

Step back in time at historic Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park, also known as the "Place of Refuge." Walk upon the sacred grounds where ancient Hawaiians sought sanctuary and discover the rich cultural heritage echoing through the ancient walls.

Punalu'u Bake Shop

Offers delightful and delectable Hawaiian pastries, freshly baked with a touch of aloha and delicious lunch options. From mouthwatering malasadas to Hawaiian sweet bread, each bite is a delightful symphony of flavors that will transport you straight to paradise. Lunch is included and there are options available for all dietary needs.

Punalu'u Black Sand Beach

Jet-black sand meets the turquoise waters of the Pacific Ocean. Leisurely stroll along the shore, soak up the sun, and keep an eye out for the graceful sea turtles that often visit this pristine haven. An excellent picnic spot for a brief respite midway through the tour.

Volcanoes National Park

Encounter the powerful forces of nature at Volcanoes National Park. Marvel at the majestic Kilauea volcano, its billowing plumes of steam rising from the Earth's core. See volcanic landscapes formed by geological wonders that shaped Hawaii over millions of years.

Hilo Town

Pass through the formerly tsunami-stricken, but now vibrant city of Hilo. Relax on the ride down Banyan Drive and explore Liliuokalani Park and Gardens known for its Japanese Garden honoring early immigrants to Hawaii.

Rainbow Falls

Rainbows magically form in the mist among the rainforest canopy - the broad waterfall empties into a beautiful pool below.
